Recensione:

Ragazzi, Larissa Ione è perfida. Sadica. Ha messo il primo capitolo di "Revenant" (il seguito) alla fine del libro!! Malvagia.

Ora, lo so che vi starete chiedendo perché sono così dispiaciuta di aver letto un anteprima, proprio io che di solito amo gli spoilers. Ebbene, perché cosi facendo la Ione mi ha rovinata!! Adesso passerò il resto della mia miserabile vita in attesa di "Revenant"!!

Il punto è che scrive troppo bene. Troppo. Ogni libro è un crescendo, ti fa innamorare sempre più dei protagonisti e incrocia anche le serie (in "Lords of Deliverance" spesso troviamo anche Eidolon,Shade e Wraith di Demonica) così che l’amore dei lettori si accumuli. Pensate che io ho letto Demonica solo dopo aver letto "Rogue Rider" perché i continui riferimenti all’Underworld General mi avevano fatta innamorare.

"Reaver" non è da meno. Premetto dicendo che ho letteralmente venerato Harvester fin dall’inizio, è il tipo di personaggio femminile che apprezzo di più (actually mi ha ricordato un poco l’arpia Aryal di "Kinked-Elder Races series"): decisa, sfrontata, con un grande senso della libertà personale, autonoma ma con un cuore tenero. In questo libro si vede il suo lato più umano, più angelico (non preoccupatevi però, rimane sempre la solita caradura che amiamo tutti): è impossibile non affezionarlesi di più.

E Reaver…ah Reaver. Sempre perso e senza memorie, finisci col fare le scelte giuste. Bravo. Anche lui mi piace particolarmente. Standing ovation per questo personaggio.

Infine, in questo libro ho iniziato a worship another couple, Revenant and Blaspheme. Cavolo…quel capitolo mi ha proprio rovinata. Comunque, secondo me "Revenant" sarà stupendo, avete letto la trama? Vi lascio il link su Goodreads perché davvero secondo me ne uscirà un romanzo fantastico(Actually, la mia intenzione era di lasciarvi il link, ma la mia incapacità di interagire con gli elementi base dell'informatica ha ostacolato questo mio progetto)
 Solo che uscirà quest’inverno!! NOOOO

Mi toccherà wait in agony and pain. Suffering.

Sigh.

Concludo lasciandovi due estratti che mi sono piaciuti particolarmente.

Il primo involve un dialogo fra Reaver e Wraith (ecco cosa intendevo dicendo che si vedono anche i personaggi di Demonica, e non solo come figure insignificanti sullo sfondo) che mi ha fatto morire dalle risate. Wraith 4ever!!

Wraith beamed. "So," he said, "you really think having archangels string you up by your halo is worth saving this Harvester chick?"
Yes. "Even if stopping Lucifer’s reincarnation isn’t a good enough reason to rescue her, she still deserves it," he said. "She saved the world."
Wraith shrugged. "So did I, but I don’t see you offering up your holy ass to save　me."
"Are you suffering unspeakable horrors at the hands of Satan?"
"No," Wraith said, "but sometimes I have to eat hospital cafeteria food."

Il secondo invece l’ho scelto a riprova del fatto che Harvester mantiene sempre la sua personalità particolare

Raphael dropped to the ground in an ungainly heap. "Touch Harvester again, and I’ll castrate you. She’s mine. She can’t break the deal she made with you, but I can."
Harvester’s heart soared. Reaver had offered to castrate an archangel for her. How sweet was that?
